Prodimex held its annual conference for specialists of the engineering and technology services of its enterprises
June 18
In early June the Eighth Annual Conference of engineering and technology service staff of Prodimex Group plants was held at the Zemetchinsky sugar plant in the Penza region.
The main topics of discussion at the conference were innovations, the introduction of new practices, and the work carried out at the plants ahead of the production season just ended.
At the event, representatives of each plant gave presentations, followed by a general vote. As a result, the best presentations were chosen in two categories — “Innovations and Incidents in 2025” and “Implementation of Investment Projects in 2025”.
In the first category the presentation by the Kristall plant was judged the best. In the second category the presentation by the Elan-Kolenovsky sugar plant won. By last season the plant had commissioned a first-carbonation juice decanter, which significantly improved its filtration.
The management of the Prodimex Group production department proposed a number of other topics for discussion at the conference. For example, the use of artificial intelligence for solving production tasks was considered. Significant progress in the use of AI over the past year was noted. In the course of the discussion, a massecuite boiling simulator was developed for training and drilling operators.
The Zemetchinsky sugar plant, which hosted the conference, is one of the oldest enterprises in the industry; its history began in the 19th century. Event participants became acquainted with the plant’s exhibition at the local museum of local history.
In addition, representatives of Prodimex sugar plants from different regions gained unforgettable impressions from a trip to one of the best-known places in Russia associated with Mikhail Yuryevich Lermontov — the Tarkhany estate, where the poet spent his childhood years.
