Prodimex continues to help schoolchildren find their calling
August 6
The network of agro-classes is expanding in the Kursk region. In the near future, with the assistance of Kursk State Agrarian University, they will appear in two more Kursk schools.
Agro-classes provide in-depth study of specialized subjects and immersion in real agricultural practice and production processes.
Fourteen Kursk schools have already joined the project. There the children gain knowledge in agribusiness, veterinary science, city farming, biotechnology and engineering related to the digitalization of agriculture and modern machinery. In two schools — No. 10 and No. 31 — Prodimex Group is the partner of Kursk State Agrarian University.
The agro-class format gives schoolchildren a chance to see production: to visit an enterprise, talk with real specialists, try their hand at solving practical tasks, and understand what professions exist in the industry and what is special about them.
For some of the children this will become a conscious choice of vocational education, university and even a future employer. The most promising are classes backed by large agro-industrial companies: it is there that there is a chance to gain real practice and become acquainted with advanced production sites.
